Modules
Most problems in permanent makeup don’t start with technique — they start with a lack of understanding. Why did the pigment turn gray? Why did the skin react differently than it did on the previous model? Why is the client unhappy with a procedure that was technically performed correctly? This first module answers these questions before you even pick up the machine.

Lessons
Lesson 1.1. The history of permanent makeup and the profession today. How dermopigmentation has evolved and what the work of a permanent makeup artist involves today.
Lesson 1.2. Equipment and pigments. Machine and needle characteristics, pigment composition and behavior, and how to choose materials for different skin types and facial areas.
Lesson 1.3. Asepsis and antisepsis. How to organize a sterile workspace, follow sanitation standards, and prevent infection.
Lesson 1.4. Skin histology and physiology. The structure and functions of facial and body skin, how tissue responds to procedures, and how the healing process works.
Lesson 1.5. Contraindications and regeneration. How to assess skin condition, when a procedure should not be performed, and what happens to pigment during the first few weeks after implantation.
Lesson 1.6. Medical history and allergic reactions. What to ask a client before the procedure, how to reduce the risk of a reaction, and what to do if one occurs.
Lesson 1.7. Makeup principles in permanent makeup. How the principles of shape and color apply to each client’s unique facial features.
Lesson 1.8. Trends and techniques. What clients are asking for today and how to tell the difference between a lasting trend and one they may regret a year later.
Lesson 1.9. Colorimetry and color theory. Color theory, mixing, correction, and pigment selection based on skin type and age.
Lesson 1.10. Client psychology. Building trust, managing expectations, handling difficult conversations, and knowing how to professionally decline a procedure.

What you’ll get
  • A clear understanding of what happens in the skin during the procedure and throughout the month that follows.
  • The ability to choose the right machine, needle, and pigment based on material properties and skin type — not just recommendations from other artists.
  • The ability to identify contraindications and professionally decline a procedure while maintaining the client’s trust.
  • Successful completion of the theory assessment and approval to move on to hands-on practice.

Included in the module
  • Presentations for every lesson.
  • Theory knowledge assessment.

Alina Didukh

I trained with Anna Savina in 1998. At the time, I was working as a cosmetologist and teaching makeup at a Spanish makeup school. I became interested in long-lasting makeup, and training with Anna became the starting point for my new career. Six months after completing the course, I opened my own beauty salon. Then, in 2000, I opened my own permanent makeup school...

I came to Moscow to train with Anna Savina in 2021. By that time, I had already been working as a permanent makeup artist for four years. My first basic course in St. Petersburg was also based on Anna’s program and on training materials she had authored or co-authored.
That’s why I had always followed her professional work and dreamed of learning her advanced camouflage techniques...

You could say a person is incredibly lucky when they find themselves in the right place at the right time...
I was lucky enough to discover not only an exciting and in-demand profession, but also true experts in permanent makeup — exceptional mentors, Anna Savina and Anna Zabolotnaya. They gave me the strong foundation and unique knowledge that changed my life.
I believe that this, together with my experience as a makeup artist, helped me start working and teaching successfully, travel the world, and, of course, meet colleagues from different countries.
It wasn’t easy to prove to myself and others that I was a true professional. But when you have a goal and genuine passion, and work and learning become a creative process, time starts working in your favor. You begin to understand what it really means to see, feel, know, and perform your craft professionally.
I am deeply grateful to my mentors, and as proof that their work was not in vain, I can now look back on the professional achievements of these productive years.

At our training center, we take education very seriously. We believe that one- or two-day courses simply cannot prepare someone to become a true professional. That’s why our training programs last at least one month and include both theoretical and hands-on classes.
